What happens after my 6 months?

Your story stays yours. When the access period ends, your account becomes read-only — you can still sign in, read everything, and download your PDF, which is yours to keep. If you want to keep developing new passages, renew for another $99 for six more months.

Can I download my story at any time?

Yes. PDF export is available throughout your access period, as many times as you like. Download a copy whenever you finish a chapter, and again when the whole story is done.

Does the AI train on my stories?

No. Your writing is used only to generate the questions and passages you ask for. Tellyng does not use your stories to train AI models, and they are never shown to other users. Read more at https://tellyng.com/ai-and-your-stories

Will it really sound like me?

That's the whole point. Tellyng studies how you write — your vocabulary, rhythm, and tone — then asks one or two specific follow-up questions and develops only what you gave it. Nothing is invented and nothing is rewritten in a different voice. The best proof is the free trial: share one memory and read the result for yourself.

Do I need to be a writer?

No. You never face a blank page. Tell a memory the way you'd say it out loud, and the AI asks the questions a good listener would. Your job is to remember; Tellyng handles the shaping.

Privacy Policy

Tellyng is a web application operated by Championized LLC ("Championized," "Tellyng," "we," "us," or "our"). Tellyng helps users develop memories, notes, drafts, photographs, and personal experiences into written stories through AI-guided conversation.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you when you use Tellyng at tellyng.com and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Depending on how you use Tellyng, you may provide:

Account information, such as your name, email address, login credentials, and account preferences.
Story content, including memories, notes, answers to guided questions, manuscript excerpts, drafts, and other writing.
Uploaded content, such as documents, photographs, captions, and related materials.
Communications you send to us, including support requests, feedback, and questions.
Purchase-related information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not directly store your full payment-card number.

You may be able to try certain Tellyng features without creating an account. Information entered during a free trial may still be processed to generate the requested result and to operate, secure, and improve the service. Free-trial text and any generated passage are stored on our servers only if you choose to give feedback or click "Save my passage." Those records are deleted automatically 48 hours after creation unless you save them to an account.

Information collected automatically

When you access Tellyng, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:

Device type, browser type, operating system, and general technical information.
Internet Protocol address and approximate location derived from it. To limit free-trial use, we keep a record containing your IP address for 24 hours.
Pages viewed, buttons selected, referring pages, session activity, and feature usage.
Diagnostic information, error reports, performance information, and security logs.
Cookie identifiers and similar technologies used to maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand product usage, prevent abuse, and measure marketing performance.

We currently use product analytics technology, including PostHog, to understand how Tellyng is used and improve the experience. PostHog session replay is configured to mask all on-screen text and form inputs so that story content is not captured. If advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel are enabled, this Policy and any required consent controls will be updated or configured to reflect that use before advertising tracking begins.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve Tellyng.
Generate questions, suggestions, and developed passages based on your submissions.
Preserve and display your stories, drafts, photographs, and projects.
Create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
Process purchases and administer fixed-term access.
Provide customer support and respond to requests.
Monitor performance, diagnose errors, and develop new features.
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Use.
Communicate about service-related changes, transactions, security, and support.
Measure the effectiveness of our website and marketing, subject to applicable consent requirements.
Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.

3. AI Processing and Your Stories

Tellyng uses Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic, to help ask follow-up questions and develop user-submitted material. Requests are sent to Anthropic's commercial API through Emergent, the platform that hosts Tellyng and provides its AI integration. Content submitted for AI-assisted features may be transmitted to and processed by Emergent and Anthropic to generate a response.

Anthropic states that, by default, inputs and outputs from its commercial products, including the Anthropic API, are not used to train its models unless a customer explicitly provides feedback or otherwise permits such use. Anthropic's and Emergent's practices are governed by their own commercial terms and privacy materials and may change over time.

Championized LLC does not claim ownership of the original stories, memories, manuscripts, photographs, or other content you submit. We do not use your story content to train a separate Tellyng AI model unless we first provide clear notice and obtain any consent required by law.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

Service providers

We use third-party companies to help operate Tellyng. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us, subject to their contracts and applicable law. They include:

Emergent, for application hosting, the MongoDB database that stores account data and story content, object storage for uploaded photographs, Google sign-in, and the integration through which AI requests are sent to Anthropic.
Anthropic, for AI processing using Claude through its commercial API.
Stripe, for payment processing and transaction administration.
PostHog, for product analytics and performance information.
Hosting, email, security, customer-support, and technical service providers used to operate Tellyng.
Meta, only if Meta advertising or measurement tools are enabled and subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.

Legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; enforce our agreements; investigate fraud or security issues; or protect the rights, property, and safety of Tellyng, Championized LLC, our users, or others.

Business transfers

If Championized LLC or Tellyng is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

With your direction

We may disclose information when you request or authorize us to do so, such as when you choose to share or export a story.

We do not sell your story content. We do not share your private stories with other users unless you direct us to do so or disclosure is otherwise required as described in this Policy.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment-card details, billing information, transaction information, device information, and fraud-prevention signals under its own privacy policy. Tellyng generally receives transaction status, purchase amount, customer identifiers, and limited payment details such as card brand and the final digits of a card, rather than your full card number.

6. Storage, Access, and Retention

Tellyng stores account data and user content — which may include stories, drafts, photographs, and uploaded files — in a MongoDB database and object-storage infrastructure provided through Emergent, our hosting platform.

Paid access lasts for six months from purchase unless a different period is clearly disclosed at checkout. When the access period ends, the account and its existing content become read-only. Users may review and export available content but may not create or develop additional content unless access is renewed.

We retain account information and user content while an account remains active or in read-only status, unless the user deletes the content, requests account deletion, or retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate operational purposes. Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion before being overwritten according to our backup procedures.

Free-trial records that are not saved to an account are deleted automatically 48 hours after creation. Free-trial rate-limiting records containing an IP address are deleted after 24 hours.

We may retain deidentified or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify an individual.

7. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information. You may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or appeal a denied privacy request.

You can delete individual memories, photographs, and whole story projects yourself from inside your account. Deleting your account and the personal information associated with it currently requires a request by email to support@tellyng.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may be retained where permitted or required by law.

You can control cookies through your browser and through any consent tools made available on Tellyng. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the service from working correctly.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Children's Privacy

Tellyng is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Users under 18 may use Tellyng only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us at support@tellyng.com.

10. International Users

Tellyng is operated from the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

Tellyng may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Tellyng changes or as required by law. We will post the revised version with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle existing personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.
