AI & Your Stories

Tellyng uses artificial intelligence to help you develop memories, notes, and unfinished writing. This page explains that process in plain language.

Your stories remain yours

Championized LLC does not take ownership of the memories, drafts, manuscripts, photographs, or other original material you submit. You give us limited permission to store and process your material only so Tellyng can provide the features you request, operate securely, and support your account.

How the AI works

When you use an AI-assisted feature, relevant text and instructions are sent to Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic. Tellyng reaches Anthropic's commercial API through Emergent, the platform that hosts Tellyng. Claude processes that information and returns questions, suggestions, or developed writing to Tellyng.

Tellyng is intended to help develop the material you provide. It may ask follow-up questions, suggest connections, or expand details based on your answers. You remain responsible for reviewing every result.

Is my writing used to train AI?

Anthropic states that it does not use inputs and outputs from its commercial API to train its models by default, unless the customer explicitly provides feedback or otherwise permits that use.

Championized LLC does not use your private story content to train a separate Tellyng AI model unless we first give clear notice and obtain any consent required by law.

Can AI make things up?

Yes. AI can misunderstand what you mean or generate details that are incomplete, inaccurate, or fabricated. Tellyng is designed to work from your material, but it cannot guarantee factual accuracy.

You should review names, dates, locations, quotations, relationships, and other important facts before saving, sharing, or publishing a story. You are always the final editor and decision-maker.

Who can see my stories?

Your stories are private by default. They are not displayed to other Tellyng users. Information may be processed by the service providers required to operate Tellyng, including Anthropic for AI generation and Emergent for hosting, database, file storage, and the AI integration.

We may also access limited information when reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate security or misuse, comply with law, or maintain the service. We do not sell your story content.

Your content is shared with another person only when you choose to use an available sharing or export feature, or when disclosure is otherwise permitted under the Privacy Policy.

Where is my work stored?

Account data and story content are stored in a MongoDB database, and uploaded photographs in object storage, both provided through Emergent, our hosting platform. Payment information is processed by Stripe. Product usage and performance may be measured through analytics services such as PostHog, with session replay configured to mask on-screen text and form inputs.

No internet-based system can promise absolute security, so you should also keep your own copy of irreplaceable writing and photographs.

What about the free trial?

If you use the free trial without an account, the text you enter and the passage Tellyng develops are stored on our servers only if you choose to give feedback or click "Save my passage." Those records are deleted automatically 48 hours after creation unless you save them to an account. To limit trial use, we keep a record containing your IP address for 24 hours.

What happens after six months?

Paid access lasts for six months from purchase unless another term is stated at checkout. When that period ends:

• Your account and existing projects become read-only.
• You can review and export available content.
• You cannot create new projects or use AI-assisted development unless you renew access.
• Your existing content remains stored until you delete it, request account deletion, or we are otherwise permitted to remove it under our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Can I delete my work?

Yes. From inside your account you can delete individual memories, individual photographs, and entire story projects at any time using the delete controls in your workspace.

Deleting your account itself — and the personal information associated with it — is not yet available inside the app. To delete your account, email support@tellyng.com and we will process the request.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, financial records, or legal compliance.
